This week, a kinkster asked their exes to remove intimate pictures from Fetlife, and those exes got angry about the situation. This kinkster wonders if their anger was fair or reasonable.
Here’s the question:
I asked my partners to remove intimate pictures from FetLife after we broke up, as things were not going well. I decided to unfriend them on FetLife to avoid seeing their new content, especially since they had found a submissive less than two months after our breakup. It was a shock because they had mentioned they would never play with someone else solo.
For my mental health, I felt it was necessary to take space. After I made my request, I waited 12 hours, but the pictures still weren’t taken down, even though they acknowledged my request and were active multiple times during that period. Since they weren’t removed, I reported them via email, as one of them had blocked me and I couldn’t see the pictures on their profiles, even though others informed me that they were still up.
Eventually, the pictures were taken down, but then they became very angry with me. Is that fair or unreasonable?
Anything is appreciated. I would go into the story of the breakup but it’s long winded so the jist is they are swingers and kinky. I’m kinky. We had been together for about 5.5 months, and my needs weren’t being met. My mental health was declining, so I chose to take some space to get my head on my shoulders, and I was basically told that I was naive, immature, and shouldn’t come back to the community.
