Consider this a “political” episode but instead of rehashing the news, we’ll offer ways to get involved plus we’ll answer a question we received: can you have a power exchange with someone you disagree with politically?

We don’t bring up politics often but we do try to live our politics, ethics, and morals.

- Sex work is work (we forgot to say this in the episode)
Some one is going to think we’re being too political. Some one is going to think we’re not doing enough. We have to do what feels right to us.
This isn’t an episode to go into detail about what’s happening out there. It’s an episode to share resources, share something we’re happy about – that has been made political, and to answer a kink question related to politics.

With anything in the US/world, there are ways to do something
- If you’re a person who’s a target of this administration, all you need to do is survive and thrive – in our opinion – unless you have the spoons and interest; those of us with privilege need to carry the load
- Donate if you have extra money
- Sign petitions, call your representatives, send emails, send MAIL
  - Phone calls are considered most powerful but everything helps – do not let perfect be the enemy of the good
    - Use the 5Calls app or ResistBot for scripts
  - We follow ACLU, Indivisible, and Equality FL and take action as often as we can with petitions, letters/emails to our House Reps and Senators
- Stay informed – books, Associated Press, organizations you support, content creators who aren’t fear-mongering

- Volunteer if you can
  - I write postcards for election campaigns; JB has helped our local Democrats

  - Unfollow anyone who’s content stresses you out without providing resources/action items
Our happy news

- Equality FL is the first organization of its type in the US and helped people form similar organizations in other states
  - Want to get involved in your state? Search “your state” equality – I found Georgia, Alabama, and Virginia
- Fight anti-LGBTQ+ legislation
  - Pride flag ban
  - Don’t say gay (in the workplace)
  - Make it easier to penalize teachers and healthcare providers helping/supporting trans kids
