It took forever to figure out how to explain this week’s episode in a concise way but “coming out of hibernation” is fairly close. We mean the hibernation we’ve gone through during current stressful events (the plague) but the kind of closing in, simply existing instead of thriving can occur in any stressful moment. We’re sure we’ve gone through this before, but we didn’t pay as much attention this time. So we’re talking about how the stress has lifted a bit and how that’s impacted our ability to relate to each other and work together as a D/s couple.

- Content warnings: We will definitely mention doctor visits, health concerns, weight loss, eating plans, etc, though we don’t intend to dive deep into those — but it’s the context and basis of the convo, so if that’s more than you can handle right now, this might be one to skip.
- We’ve discussed stress, goal setting, team work, and the plague in past episodes — this situation we’re discussing today ties all of those together.
- A year into the plague-induced hibernation, we’re feeling hopeful again, and it’s impacting how we work together and the choices we make in our life as a D/s couple.
