Amo or Digit: Which is the Better Vibrator?

Ostensibly, this is meant to be a review of the Amo bullet vibrator from Hot Octopuss. But in the course of using it, I couldn’t help comparing it to the DiGiT, the finger vibrator I’m ready to build a shrine to. (Don’t believe me? Watch the DiGiT review and learn of my deep love for this itty-bitty vibe.)
The Amo is Hot Octopuss’s latest sex toy — the fourth released in 2019, if my math is right — and one of the most affordable. As of December 2019, you can buy it for only $49 USD (plus shipping)!
You can watch the review below or scroll a bit for the text synopsis.
About the Amo Bullet Vibrator:
Like the DiGiT, the Amo provides deep, rumbly vibrations — not that whiny, tinny stuff you might be used to from bullet vibrators.
- It offers a precise, pointed vibration that focuses the stimulation wherever you place it. (I had an amazing experience when it rumbled against my clitoral hood.) In contrast, the DiGiT has a wider, rounder tip which gives my clit the surround-sound experience I prefer.
- The vibrator is made of silky smooth, firm silicone, while the “handle” is a gorgeous reddish-pink plastic. The DiGiT is made in the same way except that the “handle” is a pretty gold color and features loops for your fingers.
- The downside to the design is that the vibrations go straight through your fingers. For me, this is a distraction and a major pet peeve. It’s why I prefer the DiGiT — the finger loops keep some of that sensation out of my fingertips. This is also why I tend to avoid small vibrators, in general.
- I still hate the damn buttons on the Amo, as they’re identical to the DiGiT and just as frustrating to use. Because I prefer to find a setting and keep it there, this is only an issue sometimes. Like when I’m learning a toy or if I decide to experiment with different settings — as I did for the DiGiT during the “Amo review.”
- The Amo is USB rechargeable, holds a charge for several uses, and charges fairly quickly.
- It’s also ridiculously quiet which is wonderful since we have a serious lack of privacy in our current home. (The walls are so thin, the kids can hear us having conversations unless we whisper. Sigh.)
Like any vibrator, the Amo doesn’t just have to be used on vulvas — John Brownstone used the Amo on his perineum while he played with the Solo Essential. This was while I was “testing” the DiGiT for comparison purposes…and because I like multiple orgasms.
